On January 11, 2007 President Bush demonstrated courage and leadership that is rare today, declaring -
"The challenge playing out across the broader Middle East is more than a military conflict. It is the decisive ideological struggle of our time. On one side are those who believe in freedom and moderation. On the other side are extremists who kill the innocent, and have declared their intention to destroy our way of life. It is in the interests of the United States to stand with the brave men and women who are risking their lives to claim their freedom, and to help them as they work to raise up just and hopeful societies across the Middle East"
- and we agree.

I would like to see someone stand with the brave men and women. I am so tired of reading the media's reports of this war and listening to the celebrities complain about it. No one ever seems to interview anyone who stands up for President Bush. I hardly think he wants this war no matter what the anti war people want to spout. I watched some of that coverage on television and I was appalled. I would love for the troops to come home but its not possible at this time. I am not pro war and I am not anti war, I do know that you cannot just quit. I also know that just because I would like the troops home, its a far more complex issue than my emotions concerning the troops coming home.
I saw a USMC postcard that reads
"No one wants to fight but someone has to know how."
We went to war, we are in a war and we need to finish the war.
I believe this President is exactly the President we need because he does make the tough choices and does not back down because they are unpopular. I also think time will prove him to be one of the greatest Presidents.
I shudder to think what will happen in 08.
Agree, "We went to war, we are in a war and we need to finish the war."
